FACILITIES/REPAIR/BUILDING ISSUES AT CHIP

If there is a facilities/repair issue during business hours (ex: leaks, power outages), please contact Rebecca Ortinez at (860) 486-2438 or rebecca.ortinez@uconn.edu.

If there is a facilities/repair issue outside of business hours, please contact Facilities directly at (860) 486-3113.

Temperature Concerns

We understand that there have been some concerns about the temperature in the building - some rooms are too cold and others too hot. Unfortunately, because of the small number of zones in the building, we are limited in what we can do to resolve the problem. Making changes to accommodate the needs of people in one office often has unwanted consequences for people in other offices. And the fact that different people prefer different temperatures makes this all the more challenging. That being said, we are currently working with Facilities to ensure that everything is being done to create a working environment that is as comfortable as possible.

Any temperature-related concerns that you have should be directed to Stacey Leeds in CHIP Office 38, extension 6-1062. In Stacey's absence, please contact Becky Ortinez in Room 34, extension 6-2438.

Thank you for your assistance and patience in resolving this matter.
