Records Retention
This page is designed to provide researchers with sources of information concerning how long experimental data or financial records must be retained after completion of a study or grant, according to regulations of the National Institute of Health, State of Connecticut, and American Psychological Association. Listed below are links to information from each of these governing bodies on their requirements for records retention/management. Please note that other funding agencies (e.g. NSF, private/professional organizations, etc.) may have their own requirements as well — it is the responsibility of the researcher to determine which organization has the most stringent regulations.
